Nice, I'm glad I never got that MGS PS2 collection. Pretty much the same games on a lot of different disks. Definitive version here.

MGS2 is prolly my second favorite in the series. MGS4 is honestly a perfect game, even with the huge number of cutscenes I can't find anything I'd change about it.

Snake Eater is awesome also but I literally haven't played it in years. My only hope is that they adjusted the controls for this collection to the PS3 version. Going from MGS4 to the older ones makes them feel really slow.

Snake eater is the pimps. The chase scene in the motorcycle with bipod, the Shagohod fights, the bosses, The Boss, sky dive, Snake Eater theme song, Snake Eater theme song while climbing a huge shaft, shaft action, chewing on a tree frog, the model of rex prototype or something on that guys desk, I gotta take a break but there's so much more that was awesome about snake eater.

All of my post before this aside, I remember hearing about MGS back when it came out for PS1 and wondering what all the hype was. After I played it I realized that it was UNDERHYPED because of how good it was. I still have that, can't find my PS1 memory card but my PS3 can still play PS2 and PS1 games, yay.

Someone stole my MGS1 and I had to rebuy it. Was in school, buying games weren't so easy until I got my first non minimum wage job. I gorged myself on games.

I was always cool with my college roommates so we'd always go out to buy games together so we could get more than 1. Wasn't bad splitting em up when the semester ended either.

I've never played a MGS game. Definitely thinking of getting this collection though. 3 games for the price of 1, sounds pretty good to me.

I'd give anything to have my MGS memory removed so I can experience it all over again for the first time. Though I had some really really good memories of it and life events so maybe not, also Psycho mantis blowing my mind with his real life mind control tricks. Having to plug in the controller to the second port to trick him, and maybe something with the memory card too iirc. Also Meryl's panties bathroom scene would be totally unimpressive to me these days.

Yep, wish I didn't look at it. Scene ruined, I remember it being more awesome. Snake is cold blooded, so awesome, so cool. My role-model, and suave.

Meryl "Then you can shoot me"

-Snakeman "I don't like to waste bullets"

Cold blooded!!

Man MGS' are the best games ever. Heck after looking through this single cs the memories are flooding in. GOOD TIMES.

"I used this gun since I was 8 years old. I'm more comfortable with it than I am with a bra."

MGS is full of ruthless killers trained to kill and murder and be awesome.

I agree that they are the best video games ever made. I also remember the Psycho Mantis fight and I was like...why the fk can't I hurt this dude until I finally got that CODEC call explaining what I had to do, wonder how that'd work with PS3.

Actually in Snake Eater that similar fight, I died like 5x in a row before I figured out what to do (where you go down that river-ish thing). I was immensely frustrated and I thought there was a glitch in the game at first that wouldn't let me past that part. The little nuances that all those games have are insanely innovative, even by today's standards.

I was the same on the river thing. Sorrow floating around moving his arms about all creepy like was a great touch. All of the stuff you killed coming back to haunt you. -MGS-

These games anything like the sneaky sneaky in Ass ass ins Creed/Batman? I thoroughly enjoy games where you get to sneak around and take enemies out silently then watch as their friends find them and freak out.

I still say my favorite part of ANY of them (even though it's mostly due to the original MGS) was sneaking back into the warehouse in MGS4 when it cuts to PS1 graphics. That. Was. Awesome.

idk about Batman but it plays similar in many respects to Assassin's Creed (I find MGS thoroughly more enjoyable). Hell, in MGS4 you can even get Altair's costume.

MGS created that bro. It isn't easy though. I can walk up behind people in batman while standing up, also the bad guys in batman don't seem to look up, and I can zip line to a gargoyle right in front of them without them seeing me.

Assassin's creed is easy to avoid detection. MGS is more technical with it's stealth, especially if you play on harder levels with no radar to see the safety cones.

Yes, that made me stop in my tracks. It was like going back home, then the music played with the flash backs. It was too much nostalgia.
