70's rock with a bit of 80's thrown in is about the best thing in the world.

Toss some early r&b and a few early rap songs and we have a winner.

Country sucks, modern rap licks the ass of a dead donkey, and anything else I am thinking of but not saying that sucks, sucks.

like say person 1 listens to this music and person 2 listens to that music each post what they listen to and each read it.

then say person 1 likes what person 2 listens to and can obtain said music and widen the typse of music person 1 likes.

My top 5 Genres of music, and my favorite song from said era.

1) Early Jazz~ Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" (Part 2) Quote: "Like all the major creations of the mankind, 'Rhapsody in Blue' is the result of sexual frustration"
2) 20th Century Classical~ Debussy's "Passepied" The last of 4 songs in the "Suite Bergamasque", of which #3 is Clair de Lune, which is extremely infamous, but I prefer this one of the four, and all of Debussy's work. His "Children's Suite" is good too ('Golliwog's Cakewalk' is real fun). Played this for my School Exams, and my Piano Degree (which I played all the suite :/)
3) Ragtime~ Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag" If you have to watch any of these, it is this one. Some guy playing it on a Double Neck guitar, and it fucking rocks. Ragtime is my favorite Genre of music, but it's relative similarities in every piece under the heading "Ragtime" make it all sound the samey. This song was the first ever to sell over 1 million copies on Score. My Showtime piece, it's really fucking hard on piano as the tendants in your left arm cramp up during the third section of the song (Double Octave jumps ftl :<)
4) Dance/Techno~ 2 Unlimited's "No Limits" OMG I LOVED THIS SONG AS A KID! Fucking awesome song ... Not into Dance/Techno music really, but this song is like, teh SHIT!
5) Folk~ Damien Rice's "Rootless Tree" This song has epic desperation in it, as well as a beautifully sung "Fuck you" by a voice of an angel. Good song, such sadness :<

Meh, they are my favorite 5 songs, I guess... Genre's are more wider than that, but my Top 5 yo.

Anything predominantly early-90's rock.

Lately been listening to....

Radiohead - The Bends
Pearl Jam - No Code
Foo Fighters - Pocketwatch (b sidez)
Alice in Chains - ANYTHING

In terms of new(er) music....

Arcade Fire
Age of Electric
Social Distortion
The Fratellis
The Kooks

And I absolutely can't stop listening to...

Oasis - Definitely Maybe (Supersonic is one of my favorite songs ever)
ANYTHING by the Strokes

What's the Story Morning Glory is one of the most well-written CD's I own (in my opinion).

I like the actual music on Definitely Maybe more but the lyrics on that CD are goosebump-inducing.
