Nero's Arsenal
Red Queen:
Image

The Red Queen is a specialty weapon designed by the Order of the Sword. Its handle resembles a motorcycle accelerator, twisting the Red Queen's grip releases a powerful propellant along the edge of the sword. The explosive force of this propellant can turn even the weakest person into an agent of destruction.

However, this power has seen an upgrade due to modifications conducted by Nero, making it impossible for the untrained to handle.

This accelerator enables Nero to use Exceed, an ability that allows Nero to charge up his sword and his attacks resulting in deadly and blazing results.

Blue Rose:
Image

A large caliber, six-shot revolver modified by Nero from existing weapons. Equipped with double barrels, it can fire two shots at once, allowing it to take down multiple enemies, or even those wrapped in strong armor. The Order of the Sword feels that the sword is the only true honorable weapon and that guns are vulgarities, making Nero the only member of the Order to use such a weapon.

Yamato:
Image

Vergil's trademark weapon, the Yamato is returning to the Devil May Cry series as it plays a pivotal role in Devil May Cry 4's plot. Nero's Devil Trigger wields the Yamato when activated. Could this suggest that Nero has a link to Vergil?

Dante's Arsenal
Rebellion:
Image

Dante's main staple sword which was a gift from his father, Sparda. This sword contains powerful demonic energy which was responsible for awakening Dante's Devil Trigger in Devil May Cry 3. This weapon is the base for many offensive abilities that Dante possesses.

Gilgamesh:
Image

A new weapon for the Devil May Cry franchise. Gilgamesh is the name of a set of gauntlets and grieves that function in a similar manner to Beowulf and Ifrit from the previous games. Gilgamesh's element appears to be a more mechanical/light form. Gilgamesh also features a face mask, forearm blades on the gauntlets and rotating blades on the grieves to add more power to the weapon's already-devasting combos. Many attacks such as Killer Bee and Kick13 return from the previous games on top of brand new abilites.

Lucifer:
Image

Lucifer is a weapon shaped like a shoulder-mounted skull complete with long bladed arms. Lucifer allows Dante to project spectral blades of energy and control them. This can result in offensive and defensive abilities as well as tactical strikes depending on each formation Dante may choose to create. Lucifer works in a similar manner to Vergil's Summoned Swords from Devil May Cry 3 but far more extensively. Dante can also use singular rapier-like swords for melee combat on top of the controllable spectral blades.

Yamato:
Image

Vergil's Yamato makes a return in Devil May Cry 4 as a weapon that Dante can wield. Dante's only style while using Yamato is Dark Slayer, Vergil's trademark style from Devil May Cry 4.

Details are scarce on just how Dante utilises the Yamato with Dark Slayer. It's likely that he will use many of Vergil's abilities from Devil May Cry 3 as well as many new ones.

What is confirmed is that Dante has his own version of Judgement Cut which resembles several laser strikes in front of Dante.

Ebony & Ivory:
Image

Dante's own customised handguns, Ebony & Ivory. Ebony is primarily black, while Ivory is primarily white. Unlike normal guns, these require no reloading and can also be fired as fast as bullets stream out of a machine gun. Dante can even use these guns to "juggle" enemies in the air. Although weaker than other firearms, Ebony & Ivory are still useful guns and will remain a staple in Dante's arsenal.

Cyote-A:
Image

Dante brings back the shotgun in the form of Coyote-A. Just like Ebony & Ivory, the weapon lacks any need for reloading. It's a lot more powerful than Ebony & Ivory and can juggle/be used in the air as well. However, its downside is that it is a slow-firing weapon. Crowd-clearing is its speciality.

Pandora:
Image

Pandora is a briefcase that Dante can carry in to combat. By performing button combinations, you will be able to open up Pandora in to different forms:

* "Argument" - A missile platform
* "Grief" - The suitcase opens up and causes a massive explosion
* "Epidemic" - A bowgun
* A laser
* A rocket launcher
* A gatling gun
* A boomerang

There is also a gauge that will need to be powered up on top of the button combinations in order to use the most powerful forms of Pandora. This will prevent it from being too broken.

Some of eden members may remember my DMC3 combo threads of the old old eden forums. With DMC4's sick fighting additions and giving dante some of virgil's buffs (being able to switch between 3 devil arms, and 3 firearms on the fly) will make for some sick combos and combo videos. I'm already having a ball with Nero in the demo.

Some of the combo videos from DMC3. Good stuff check it.

First this video that shows the different fighting styles. You were locked to a particular fighting style in DMC3 until you reached a save statue, or before you choose a mission. In dmc4 you can change styles in between combos. This will allow for some crazy stuff. Think about it as being able to change jobs in ffxi on the fly between ninjitsu casts, and blm stuns lol.

Ok something different. Stylish boss fights.

Cerberus Dante must die mode. Royal Guard style = can parry and take no dmg if you time it right like SF3 or a mnk guard in ffxi (-timing +luck in mnks case).

A mission with Vergil. Dante Must Die difficulty SS rank (no damage taken. pwn)

Wish I could find the cerb fight where the guy wasn't scared and fought him close up still not taking damage.

Also about the farming. I liked it, it wasn't like you lost the orbs or the price of the items went up if it took you too long to obtain enough orbs (heh). It's like a indirect exp system. You kill mobs and get their exp and upgrade your HP/MP or buy upgrades and abilities for your weapons, all while upgrading your fighting styles with normal exp. RPG in my pure ownage game.

A bit of combat going through a mission. This guy clearly isn't a DMC player. Looks like he's just figuring stuff out.

Honestly, this may be the most badass series of all time. I can't think of another game in which someone creates so much carnage with a sword and guns in comparison to this. I played the demo for this and loved it, but then I bought UT3. I'm FPS'ing like crazy lately, CoD4, UT3, Turok, Resistance, and I rlyrlyrly wanna get DMC4 next. The demo boss fight I tried was epic (even though I didn't win in 3 tries, I'm quite rusty DMC-wise). Graphics are absolutely beautiful, fighting as badass as ever, and just absolutely amazing scenery (new tier of awesomeness, even for something as impressive as the DMC series.

Also, there is a free demo available for this game if you guys didn't know, so you can try it out before you buy it. Just get it off the playstation store. It takes a while to download and install, but it's definitely worth the wait, and especially if you're thinking about getting this game.

The combos he's doing aren't too hard to pull off but the hard thing about what he's doing is the EX attacks. You have to hit the charger just right to charge up the gauge 1 bar after an attack. I've gotten pretty good at it but not that good lol.
