omg gaiz this is drivin me nuts, we've had a power cut, like whole damn street.
hubby has set up UPS to router so i can hook up to forums will be back on line if it comes back on sooon.
if im lucky UPS may last a few min so i can browse n stuff Confused

I had power out for a week. It was horrible, very very horrible. When I got it back I turned off all the lights for memories of the nightmare. The car's air conditioner felt so good though. Ice was a premium, and water cut off due to it being run off of electric. Horrible!! Stay strong, get ice, and water bottles.

My reason was living near the gulf coast but not close enough to feel I'd be within reach of the wrath of katrina. You appreciate electricity when you suddenly don't have it anymore, and don't know when it will be back even though you can pay thousands you would have to settle for a generator and not a full fix.

Amy must know how it is. He live(d) in Miami. Poor guy, all those much better coast line though.

came back on at 1.30AM went back off at 7am waaay to go just as I was gettin kids up = no hot water for washing / coffee, no iron for school shirts came back on like 15min ago so everyone made a mad rush for bathroom / kettle / hair staighteners (and laptop) Wink Looks like they may have found / fixed prob so I should be on game soon as I get kids to school Very Happy

Ouch, I remember it being like a f2 or something while over Florida and it was expected to go down. Darn hurricanes. Poor Miami.
