I just heard about the crazy storm going on, I think you live in NY somewhere and everything seems effected by it (huge area storm, may get strong winds at the least. Chicago even gets strong wind from it).

I get it, happens in N'allins and black people are all over it.
Happens on the East coast and black people don't care.

lol, it happens to both sides but they are usually weak. The big ones are scary though. The last big one for the east caught my attention too. I don't remember the name of it but it was on CNN and such. They are saying the one now is almost as crazy as Katrina. It's a more populated area too. Being in those buildings with no power for weeks will be too much. All those people will have to move until power and such is restored, if it gets that bad.

Oh! I see how it is, Ploid. Only worried about whether VD is safe and no mention of me! This is my place.

Not really. I'm fine. Thanks for asking!

But seriously, it was overhyped in the Captial Region area, as I predicted.

Oh wow D I didn't know you lived in the area too. You got me with that picture. I saw it on the news, wind ripped the side clean off. I'm glad you're ok and have power and water. That's one of the worst parts. Being without power and water for weeks. Some people are without and they don't know how long it's going to take to get it back. Talk about a suffering situation, our bodies are so used to being pampered that it almost feels like you're being tortured.

I'm fine, thanks. We got some crazy wind and some trees down but I'm not 'in' the path of it. I do live about 15 minutes from Lake Ontario (I can see Toronto across the lake) and that was SUPER bad. Looked like an ocean with the waves that were crashing...never quite seen anything like it.

Places in NJ are scary. Twitter has never before been so ominous since I joined. Things went from joking to people making open invitations to people whose homes were in jeopardy. Really said a lot.

We've known for quite some time that Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, is awesome. Remember when he charged into a burning house and rescued his neighbors? How about when he welcomed victims of Hurricane Sandy into his own home? Let's not forget his other Sandy-related acts of kindness.

We're particular fans of Booker's constant Twitter presence, which manages at times to be informative and hilarious. We have to file this Tweet under the latter:
