Dude I loved ffxi in the low levels. Nothing like getting lost after being escorted to dunes for the first time with friends. I was like THF 7 and no sub, I couldn't join their exp group, so I had to go. I was offered a escort back, but was mad so I chose to die (crawling in my skin) trying ti find my own way back. I got lost in La Thein and had the most awesome acid trip ever. FFXI visuals blew me away. After spending so long in dry gusta I was floored with so much beauty (american beauty R (tm)).

True:
Yesterday I went to Gamestop to buy FFXI's Vanadiel Collection 2008 for my new PC. I asked the orange-haired girl "sup biatch, you got any FFXI?" and she was all "ya." As she was getting the box for me (hers and the game's) she felt as though it was the perfect opportunity to try to pronounce the names of the expansions that came with it. I advised her against this practice, as I simply could not handle any more of her stupidity. As I was checking out, her cohort approaches me and goes, "I'm 75 E body Dark Knight," which struck me as funny because I always think of jobs as I would phonetically pronounce their abbreviation. For example, DRK is pronounced "Derk" for pronounciation and "deserved" sake. I didn't talk further with him about it, not only because I was running late for a work dinner but because he was kind of a douche. I then left the store.

After I left, I was hanging out IRL with another guy who plays FFXI. His name is Hakkai. We were driving through the desert miles away from any internet connection when he receives a text message that states, "You just claimed Fafnir, get here." We then drove 45 minutes toward the nearest internet connection. Lucky for him, Faf was at 30% as it always is around the 45 minute mark for them. When I arrived in the Aery I stumbled upon what I thought to be Dynamis, but turns out TDG just brought 60 people again. Hakkai left shortly after he claimed Faf. He didn't warp or d/c so I don't know how he got to where he got but after I turned my say filter off the last line I caught was "Do not pass go, do not collect $200" from a GM. His LS threatened to break shortly afterward. Some were quoted as saying "we fight mobs too much." At first I thought that he may have been talking about number of claims, but shortly afterward it was evident that they were talking about duration. I think it was a little of both, but far be it from Vedder to rain on someone's parade like that.

I can't wait to log on tonight. "Welcome to Fairy" is what I envision the Pearly Gates to read when I die, IG and IRL. Everytime I D/C I die a little inside because I know there's the possibility that I just missed Mee Deggi to some yellowface and because I potentially missed out on a 1/18 Divine Might shout in Whitegate. I've been sweating, panting, and salivating at the thought of logging on. I put a stack of bone arrows on the AH and I've been F5'ing FFXIAH every 4 seconds hoping that I sold it in the time since I last checked 3 seconds ago.

I have to go to a wedding tonight. Luckily, it's held in San d'Oria and not RL. My best friend (IG) is getting married to his sweetheart of four years. They've been cybering for a while, so the intense emotional ties inherent with their internet marriage is sure to take their relationship to the next level. I hear he's giving her a Snow Ring to give her some INT because she's a stupid bitch. Some people have questioned whether or not she might actually be a girl, however she's Hume F so I think it's pretty clear that she HAS to be a girl. I dream one day of having a RL wedding as beautiful as I expect their FFXI wedding to be.

Only people who I've met irl that play(ed) FFXI are Sef and Sera.

-You cannot have Refresh with Sublimation up. You can still get Ballads and Summoner Roll.
-While under the effect of Sublimation you'll lose HP and build up a MP reserve. The MP reserve caps at a certain amount (too lazy to look it up). Once you reach this cap you will stop losing HP and I *think* the icon will change for Sublimation.
-At any time you can use Sublimation again to "cash in" your MP reserve. You will then gain the MP that was stored in the pool. You can then start building up a reserve again.

I think that covers it. Might have missed something though since it's all from memory.

UPdate time!

Just spend 4 hours in The Fafoyada Tree and I got Hexastrike!!
Got a Perdu wand thing and Werebuster and beat up thousands of crabs with a blm.
I tanked etc. which is soooooooooo fucking easy on whm btw.
A level 66 pup joined and kept saying "don't put up shadows cause my pup will heal you"
After I went into red hp within 20 secs I told him to gtfo.
Going to merit for the next 6-7 hours so I can get as many merits as possible for Protect 5 and SHell 5 and other stuff.
Thanks Tomi for the Sublimation thing, I got it now.

Please continue the fucking hilariousness of your blog entries, they have me in stitches.

Laterz :)

Hi. It's me again. I haven't written anything in a few days because I got into a 20k/hr xp party last week and have been too afraid to leave cause I am determined to get 75 before the end of this month.

Over the last couple weeks, we've been killing a lot more than we previously had been. This is the first time I've been able to successfully camp Tiamat without blinking once over the course of its last window spawn period. My LS leader threatened to break my pearl because I accidentally used a Squid Sushi instead of Sole Sushi, so we failed to set the record on Fafnir because I was 10 dmg below where I should have been. Luckily, he was so hard from having won the parse on that Fafnir that he forgot to even break my pearl.

I had my seacom up that stated I was fluent in Japanese, but they saw me accidentally type in English so they kicked me, MPK'd me, and hacked my account. I went to Wal-Mart and got my account and prices rolled back (athanku). I called a GM for help and he set my HP directly under Jormungand for speaking English to JP's. They were cool with it, but he thought I was imperializing their game by bringing my language into play. Either that or they found out I was black.

Omg, I didn't know Vedder was that funny. Bravo old chap, bravo. And I think they found out you was black. Otherwise they would have let you slide. /comfort

Btw that walmart rollback thing was the highlight for me.
