for the dalmy/mrobe debate:

shit's situational. for blm yeah it's clear mrobe beats dalmy hands down, but for rdm dalmy has some nice stats too (more mp, magic def+5, resist para).

Robe has MND+8 and MAB+5.

Why would a RDM need MAB+5, and if they want to use an INT body piece instead of AF+1 body, they could use Mahatma body for +3 more INT, "fag" :whistle:

I never raised the question of INT.

But if you really wanna look at the stats which truly only benefit the curative nature of a Rdm at most Alliances:

50MP vs MND+8

I never once mentioned the Accuracy or Attack or Strength or INT that a Robe offers compared to the Resists Paralyze that a Dalmy offers. Why? Because it's fucking redundant, like MDB and MAB at the end of the day. And what? We comparing 3 INT to 5 MAB? This has already been proven with Genie vs Robe, 8 INT is greater than 2 MAB, so how the fuck can 3 INT compare to 5 MAB? Even on lesser nukes with T3, 5 MAB will still outweight 3 INT.

To put this into simpler terms, would you prefer Zenith Pumps or Morrigan's Pigaches? This is the arguement I'm putting forward, nothing to do with INT or Resist Paralyze or anything else I'm putting on the table.

Btw, Image vs Image.

Same thing, which would you prefer, more MP or more MND?

I meant MND, but the argument works for INT too, since I was talking about enfeebling not fucking nuking. Why would a RDM be nuking?

If for some reason a RDM wanted to use MND (FOR A MND BASED ENFEEBLE) or INT (FOR AN INT BASED ONE), instead of using AF+1 body, then they would still use Mahatma Body for +3 MND (OR INT LOL See: Above post)

I even referred above to AF+1 body for RDM, you should've known I was talking about enfeebles not pitiful RDM nukes. :nonono:

OK, since you are talking about old gear, and mage get at that, there is something I need to know.

I am rather new at leveling mage jobs and just got these. I can tell you that if there were gloves for THF that gave +15 dagger skill, absolutely nothing else in the game would even come close.

'Cause elemental magic doesn't help much once you get merits/high level gear and starts giving diminishing returns. Those gloves would basically not help at all on your average exp, dynamis, limbus, assault mob. Also your INT vs. the mobs INT is a lot more important, this is why BLM AF2 hat imo is really overrated. On reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy high level mobs of course you would still use these hands, but only because there isn't an alternative with a decent amount of INT to compare

also asta, melee skills differ than magic skills in that with melee skills, you're gaining accuracy and attack, with elemental and enfeebling magic, you only gain accuracy

RDMs shouldn't use MAB for nuking. Their INT isn't high enough to take full advantage. If a RDM had full INT merits and subbed BLM then that RDM could probably mix MAB+INT gear. Generally I'd just tell a RDM to go full INT and Elemental skill because they also lack in that. Dalmy is beyond a pointless piece of equipment at this stage of the game, I thought people would've realized that about a year ago.
