I've been using Tineye to find sources to some pictures but it pretty much sucked, then I found out Google had one so I gave it a try and this thing is like magic. Google is scary.
Google's image search context menu extension
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... nflm?hl=enOr just paste a image url into google's search. Then click the camera icon to find more sources, a name of the image, articles, the history, the day, or the moon cycle of the setting in the image. Also, if the picture is of a person find out what they had for lunch that day.
We're going to be killed by google someday.
I've came across something similar to this image recognition power. I downloaded the Picasa photo album manager and it picks out different faces and ask me to name the people, then it recognizes when I add pictures, how often I take pictures of people, and how little I care for a particular friend. This thing is encouraging me to spend time with people I take fewer pictures of. It's also a psychiatrist and listens to your problems...
I wonder what google does with the information it gets from images searched, and images from your Picasa application. It asks to upload pictures in picasa so I can't get screwed there, I hope.
